I recently had the opportunity to try ma:nyo, a clean Korean skin-care line that has made it’s to the U.S.A. Most notable for their pure clean oil, ma:nyo has quite a few products on their roster that are so worth trying. MA:NYO launched in the U.S.A on August 12th and is available online.
Korean skincare is more than just a trend for many. Korean beauty or, K-beauty, is not only known for its natural ingredients but its effectiveness. The trend in South Korea is to have glowing, supple, natural-looking skin, so Korean cosmetics companies put an emphasis on making quality skincare products. Over the past few years, as we’ve seen trends like glass skin or using snail mucin in facials, K-beauty has become its own category in the beauty industry. Korean beauty trends prioritize skin first, so as someone who would try anything to keep my skin supple and glowing, I was elated when given the chance to try my:nyo before it launched in the U.S.A. MA:NYO has been popular overseas for quite some time, with the Pure Cleansing Oil being their most popular item.
One of the most exciting things about trying out MA:NYO is knowing that it’s not a gimmick. This is the real deal when it comes to K-beauty. Of the products that I had the opportunity to check out, I’m in love with the Cleansing Soda Foam, Bifida Biome Ampoule Toner, and the Galactomy Niacin Essence. After only a week of using, I started noticing my skin consistently looking and feeling more hydrated. My skin is fairly normal but can get a little dry, so I love that the Cleansing Soda Foam has Chamomile in it to help retain moisture. Because the Bifida Biome Ampoule Toner has 5 types of probiotics, it really helps prevent skin damage from harsh pollutants and free radicals, which is exactly what I need after running around in NYC all day. The Galactomy Niacin Essence has also been a godsend and has helped a great deal with some acne scars I may have acquired from popping the occasional pimple.
